Marriage Building Tips - Couple's Devotionals and Bible Reading Plans

Friday October 7, 2005
This week my husband and I accomplished a feat that took over 3.5 years to complete! We read through the entire Bible together — reading out loud to each other — a little each morning almost every weekday for the past 3 and 1/2 years. It was a tremendous marriage-building experience — one that strengthened our relationship with each other and with God.

If you are interested in giving it a try, you can adapt and incorporate just about any Bible reading plan to fit into your couple's devotional time. Some Bibles, such as the Couple's Devotional Bible or the Marriage Devotional Bible, contain Bible reading plans to help you read through the entire Bible in one year. But, like us, not all couples can manage the whole Bible together in one year. So, feel free to set your own pace. Visit How to Create a Devotional Plan, or my devotionals resource page for more devotional tips.
