Adrian Rogers, former three-time president of the Southern Baptist Convention, died early in the morning on November 15, 2005 in Memphis, Tennessee, following a battle with cancer and double pneumonia. Rogers was 74 years old.

For 32 years Adrian Rogers pastored the Bellevue Baptist Church, a congregation of more than 28,000 members, until his retirement in March of 2005. He is known as one of the fathers of the Conservative Resurgence movement that brought the Southern Baptist Convention back to its biblical roots.

Rogers is survived by his wife, Joyce Rogers. He has four children, nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.

The beloved minister continues to share the gospel beyond his death, through radio and podcast broadcasts of his sermons and through his many books.
