Who is the Antichrist?

During my research I came across a lot of current speculation about the antichrist, who he is or who he might be. A great many unlikely guesses were among the suggestions. The most popular names to come up were George W. Bush, Barack Obama, and the Pope. I too have been accused of being the antichrist by a few of my readers who don't agree with a biblical perspective or an editorial I've written. However, it's highly improbable that one of these (Bush, Obama, Benedict, or Me) is the actual "son of perdition" spoken of in 2 Thessalonians, chapter 2. Although the Bible does not specifically name who the antichrist will be, it does give us some clues as to what he will be like:

Ronald Wilson Reagan with six letters in each of his three names best fits the Biblical description of the anti-Christ. He met all of the requirements to be named as such. As president of the “melting pot” we call the United States he had power over all kindreds tongues and nations. (Rev 13:7) He was wounded and recovered from the wound. (Rev 13:3) There is a talking doll (Image of the Beast) in his likeness from ToyPresidents.com. (Rev 13:15) There will be a dollar coin with his image on it in 2016. (The mark of the beast) (Rev 13:17)
I, Gregory GOrDon, noticed some of these signs back in 1981 when he was wounded and decided to seek the title of the “second” Christ to expose him. My findings are now published in a book entitled: Ronald Reagan: Anti-Christ. which available for free download. From what I have read in theology, we are not able to know such a being until after it’s job is done. We cannot name who that might be even if such a being exists. James Hagee says that the antiChrist will be gay and half-Jewish which makes me wonder whether Hagee already has the being picked out. If he does and doesn’t reveal a name, he is doing the world a great disservice.
I think we all need to just do our jobs, be the best people we can and leave it to God. As long as you and I are not agents of evil, God will take care of the big stuff.
Well, I hope readers will review the entire article and not just my blog post. The article is a biblical study of the antichrist. It suggests that we won’t know who he is until after he has risen to his full power as the antichrist. The Bible does teach us to be aware of what the antichrist will be like so that no one is deceived.
The most powerful resistance to any anti-Christ that comes along is the reflection of Jesus in the life of the Christian. If you are going forward and becoming better and better as a person, you need not look over your shoulder to see if something is gaining on you. In fact, you should not. Rather, spend time on enlarging the circle of people with whom you reflect the love you have for Jesus and your belief in the love Jesus has for you.
