This Week's Testimony: For the Love of a Father
Monday June 29, 2009
Young Charles experienced a grim childhood, troubled by physical and emotional abuse and void of a father's love. When he discovered at age 16 that the man he knew as father was really his stepfather, it explained some of the abuse. However, not until he encountered the saving love of his heavenly Father, did Charles truly come to know the acceptance and approval he had longed for all his life.

Conventional Christian wisdom of the prospects for “believers” at death is not even approximately equal to the Biblical truth as in the meaning of “I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob” (Ex. 3:15), i.e., “God of the living not of the dead” (as interpreted by Jesus Himself in Matt. 22: 29-32). True believers, according to the teaching of Jesus Christ, are immortal now, at death and after (John 11: 25-26). Two witnesses are Moses and Elijah who appeared in heavenly glory and were seen talking with Jesus in the hearing of three disciples who had a very hard time understanding “the way in which Jesus would soon fulfil God’s purpose by dying in Jerusalem” to demonstrate and dispense immortality to all who will look expectantly at him whom they pierced(Luke 9: 28-33; John 19:37)!
