My parent's relationship is not perfect. They still have arguments and get on each others' nerves at times. But their love goes deeper than just romantic love, it's a reflection of God's love (Ephesians 5:25). It is so powerful because it points to the one and only perfect example of true love - God.
The Bible says in 1 John 4:16, "God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him." (NLT) God is the author of love (1 John 4:8). His perfect love casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). God demonstrated his unconditional love by sending his son, Jesus Christ, to sacrifice his life for us (Romans 5:8). Now that is true love!
On this Valentine's Day, as you express appreciation to your loved ones, it's fitting also to spend some time with your perfect true love, the Lord God.
Valentine's Day Meditations on True Love:

Really heartening to hear God bless and keep you all
i like the poem it was great
and the reason i like it cause im trying to see if im really in love.
i hope you can help me and asnswer that question. i need to know what it mean so i can know when to say i love someone that i really adore.
thank you and i love what you wrote about your mom and dad
i really liked the poem it’s so touching and educative.i wish all parents where like that
I am so confused about love. I know what the Bible says about love and what it is however I’ve realized this is not the way I love all the time. I am able to show the kind of love described in 1 Corinthians if I feel like I am not IN love. He can’t do anything to hurt me because I’m not emotionally involved/attached so I’m able to be patient & kind. And when I feel like I am IN love (emotionally involved/attached), I am not able to show the kind of love described in 1 Corinthians. This is not love but emotionally, I feel like I am in love. I’m so confused!
I love your poem!..God Bless you!
Thanks! He has!
