Although lost, they find their way to the character of Jesus, who seems a bit too human to convey the real Savior.
At first, they reject the idea of needing any help or having to abide by rules, so they refuse Jesus and carry on with their journey. Then they run into Beelzebub (Satan) who offers them a broad path where they're not subservient to anyone but themselves. Of course, this appeals to any child (or human flesh of any age) who wants to "do it my way" as expressed in the familiar song by the late Frank Sinatra. However, it isn't long before Mr. and Mrs. Sheep learn that Beelzebub is not their friend, but rather their enemy, when he lets them know he likes to eat sheep. Frantic, they try to escape from what appears to be darkness and hell.
Just in time, Jesus appears and rescues them. Scared and repentant, they're now ready to take Jesus as their Savior.
This 15-minute cartoon offers a salvation message for kids. Although very small children probably will not understand the biblical implications, older children will be likely to make the connection with familiar Bible stories. The film is geared toward elementary and middle school-age kids, but teens and adults will enjoy it as well.
