Wedding Party Pictures
Tips for your Christian Wedding Ceremony

By , About.com Guide

If you plan to take pictures prior to the wedding ceremony, this should begin at least 90 minutes prior to the start of the wedding. Many couples choose to take all or part of their bridal party pictures prior to the ceremony to save time and minimize the wait for guests between the wedding and the reception.

If the ceremony is being held in a church, the pictures should be completed at least 45 minutes before the ceremony. This allows time for the sanctuary to be cleared before guests begin to arrive.

If you plan to take pictures after the ceremony, keep in mind the length of time your guests will have to wait for your arrival at the reception.

It is also very important to instruct your photographer and videographer about your desire to maintain an attitude of worship and reverence during the wedding ceremony. They should be asked to respect your wishes and the instructions of the minister or church wedding coordinator. These wishes may include, no flash photography during the ceremony and maintaining a certain distance from the platform in order to avoid distractions.
