Name of Blog
The Reader’s Cove
Does the Blog Accept Comments from Readers?
Yes, I love to read them.
How Often is the Blog Updated?
Frequently, I often add book reviews on a weekly basis. Sometimes faster if they are a great read. I update the "Christian Fiction Resources" page whenever I find new links.
What is the Blog About?
This blog features Christian fiction book reviews and more. There is a link to "Christian Fiction Resources" with "Christian Fiction Book Publishers and Distributors" (28 links) and "Christian Fiction Book Reviews" (7 links). You can read a bit the blogger, Diane A. Brown (that's me), and information about what type of books I review. The goal in starting my book reviewer blog was to share my honest evaluation and opinion of the author's writing from my Christian perspective. I also wanted to create a single source for Christian fiction readers to find publishers, sellers, and additional Christian book reviews.
What Do You Like Best About the Blog?
This is a great single resource for Christian fiction lovers. The reviews are not just a "mini version" of the book but comments are made about the character development, style of writing and flow of the book. There are no “spoilers” and the reviews are open about possible offensive content from a Christian perspective.
Lessons Learned
- Looks matter, it's how you're reflected in your readers eyes.
- There should be a purpose behind the blogging, to inform, enlighten, entertain or uplift.
- Ads, especially the blinking kind, are my pet peeve.
- Visiting a blog should be an enjoyable experience. When you visit “The Reader’s Cove” I want you to imagine relaxing, with a warm cup of coffee, tea, or hot chocolate, as you look for a good book to enjoy.
