Raven can't help but offer praises to God after surviving an aneurysm that split her aorta in half from top to bottom. Following surgery she actually died, but God breathed life into Raven and gave her a new purpose for living.

Raven's Breath of Life
I really don't know how to start, so I'll begin by praising God, our Father! He gave us his Son, as a sacrifice for sin, of which I have committed many. He lay down his life on that rough, bloody, and rugged cross, so that I might have eternal life. All I had to do was believe. And I believe!
On January 5, 2001, I was at home in Wisconsin. Sometime in the early morning hours, I started screaming in terrible pain. I was having great difficulty breathing. The diagnosis was that I had blockage in my right leg which caused an aneurysm in my aorta. It totally split my aorta in half from the top to the bottom.
I don't remember very much after I got to the hospital. I was told that the doctor who examined me tried to transfer me to a hospital in Milwaukee, but they refused to take me. I believe that God provides for us in every situation. An ambulance driver was there and had been waiting for about three hours. He told the doctor that he would take me to the University Hospital in Madison.
A Purpose for My Life
As soon as I arrived, I was immediately taken to surgery. In the recovery room after the surgery, I actually died for a couple of minutes. I truly believe that God breathed his own breath back into me because he has a purpose for my life. If not, I would not be here. The doctor told my family that if the ambulance driver had been just five minutes later, there would not have been anything that he could have done to save me.
A Reason to Praise
Now I can't help but testify. I know that I know that I know, that Jesus is Lord, forever and ever. He reigns. He sits at the right hand of the Father and he lives! I cannot praise him enough. There are not enough words in any earthly language to give him the honor and glory that belongs to him. It's difficult now to express how much Jesus means to me. He is my Savior, my friend, my advocate. He is my all in all, the lover of my soul, my everything!
