Today's Inspiring Thought: Like a Tree
Sadly, I don't have a green thumb. I try to care for my plants, but sometimes I go long stretches forgetting to water and fertilize them—two necessary steps for maintaining vital, healthy vegetation.The man in this verse is the picture of a strong and prospering tree. It is planted by streams of water, absorbing the nourishment necessary to be healthy, green, and fruitful. When a believer plants himself daily in the presence of the Lord, his soul will be satisfied as he drinks in the life-giving streams of refreshing water. And his spirit will be well-nourished as he meditates day and night on the meat of God's Word.
