From the article: Bible Verses About Love
Most of us are familiar with the famous "Love Chapter" in the Bible—1 Corinthians 13, containing the "love is patient, love is kind" passage. But with approximately 730 verses about love, the Bible has more than a little to say about the subject.

To complement my collection of Scriptures on love, I'm asking you to share your favorite love Bible verses.

Therefore my father loves me, because I lay down my life, to gain it again."

1 Corinthians 13:4-8

My favorite part of the Bible was read by the minister at my mother's memorial service. Before her service started, he asked me if she had any favorite verses. I really never knew. I guess this would have been appropriate for such an unselfish and kind woman to want at her service.
